Free began her career as an international circus performer. After 12 years, Free ran away from the circus to complete a Bachelor of Science and then the post-graduate Doctor of Physiotherapy program at the University of Melbourne, where she graduated top of her class in both degrees. Free has a special interest in circus, dance and gymnastics injury prevention and management and loves working with these athletes and performers to achieve their goals. She also draws on her training in dance, rhythmic gymnastics and circus to provide a unique approach to pilates, which combines her love of physicality and functional movement restoration. She is qualified in Clinical Pilates instruction by the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute. Free is also a physiotherapist for the National Institute of Circus Arts, a competition physiotherapist for Gymnastics Victoria, and was Tasmania’s Team physio at the 2014 Australian Gymnastics Championships.
